Staying with Bann Pantai Resort, Cha-am, Phetchaburi

Bann Pantai Resort is a hotel along the Boulevard of Cha-Am. On the other side of the boulevard is the beach.
The hotel consist of six semi-detached bungalows and two buildings of two floors each with 14 rooms each. The reception is right along the street.
The welcome is friendly and efficient. After checking in the luggage is taken out of the car and brought to the room. During our stay we have seen only friendly employees.
During this journey we have slept in one of the bungalows.

The bungalow has an area of approximately 40 square meters, which is exclusive the terrace and inclusive the bathroom.
The terrace in front of the room is covered, you are in the shade, about 12 square meters. There is a loft / couch and a table with two chairs.
The room is spacious and tidy. There is a large and good, quite hard, double bed, a corner with a lounger that can serve as a third bed. The large flat screen TV and the corresponding satellite receiver are on a cupboard in which a fridge is located, a kettle, cups, coffee, tea and a bottle opener. There are two bottles of free water per day. The room also has a dressing table. Very special, there is a WiFi router per room.
Next to the bathroom is a walk-in closet with enough space to store clothes and store the luggage. There is also a safety deposit box and a large pass mirror. There are two sets of two towels.
The bathroom has a sink with a lot of space for toilet supplies, a fohn, shampoo, shower gel and haircuts. The western toilet has as usual in Thailand a sprayer and two rolls of toilet paper. The shower cabin is very spacious, there is a one-click mixer tap; it takes a while before the water is hot, but there is plenty of water. There is a hand shower and a rain shower.

Next to the room the hotel offers a large swimming pool, parking, a fitness room, secure wifi, a restaurant that also serves breakfast.
Breakfast contains both Thai and Western dishes, tasty enough. The breakfast is in the shape of a buffet, but much is just served.

During our stay we noticed that the resort needed maintenance. The paint is peeling inside and outside, and metal parts are rusting. The wooden stairs and floors outside also need to be replaced.
We also notice that there are few staff. After some conversations with staff members we have known for years, there appear to be two reasons for this; there are no staff available and the number of visitors has not yet returned to pre-corona epidemic levels.
Too bad, because it is a pleasant resort to stay in.

We were here on Monday, November 20, 2023, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, on Thursday, November 23, 2023 and on Friday, November 24, 2023.
